As bare as it can be;
Not a bow, a card, or gift,
Beneath it do I see.

The winter air cools my face,
Out in the city street;
Children everywhere I see;
Enjoying all their treats.

As full as it can be;
Lots of bows and cards and gifts,
Beneath it did they see.

The giving air warms my heart,
Out in my city street;
Children, all to whom I gave;
Enjoying all their treats.
